The self-cleaning drum filters serve for the treatment of magnetizable particles and non magnetizable ones, generated in the machining processes.
Through mediation of the cylindric drum installed inside and using a filtering mesh, adapted to the specifications of the grade of filtration required, an effective cleaning of emultions is achieved, cutting lubicants and washing detergent.
Characteristics of the self cleaning drum filters
Consists of a rotating drum attached to a scraper conveyor.
The self cleaning drum is in charge of filtering the dirty liquid (cooling liquid + metallic particles) through a filtering mesh, whereas the metallic particles end up in the bottom of the filter where they are evacuated by the scrapers.
You can achieve a very clear filtration: 30-50 micras at 90%.
The drum is perfectly sealed in a way that the dirty liquid can only reach the interior of it through the filtering mesh. The drum is an independent unit which addapts to the chip extracting equipment, which facilitates the maintenance labours, whereas when necessary, the whole drum can be removed as one block.
