Drum Filter (RDII, RDIII, RC)

For the treatment of magnetisable and non-magnetisable particles generated in machining processes.

Through the use of a cylindrical drum installed on the inside and using a filter mesh appropriate to the required degree of filtration specifications, efficient cleaning of emulsions, cutting oils and washing detergents is achieved.

Characteristics

It consists of a rotary drum joined to a scraper conveyer.

The self cleaning drum is responsible for filtering the dirty liquid (cooling liquid + metal particles) by means of a filter mesh, while the metal particles will settle at the bottom of the filter, from where they are taken away by the scrapers.

A good clarity of filtration is achieved: 30-50 microns over 90%.

• The drum is perfectly sealed in a way that the dirty liquid can only reach the inside of the filter through the filter mesh.
• The drum is an independent unit that is adapted to the chip extractor equipment, which makes maintenance work easier, since if it is necessary to remove it, the whole drum is removed in a block.

Ability to filter a wide range of flows.

• The RDIII and MD equipment is used to filter small and medium flows and the RC for large flows.
• They have good adaptability to different types of applications.

Ability to process magnetisable and non-magnetisable chips.

• By adding a bed of magnets to the bottom of the filter we improve the performance of the equipment as regards the processing of magnetisable particles.

RDII

*Models with magnetic plate installed on the bottom of the drum filter are available. We recommend this option for processing magnetic particles.
